Leader of Neo -Nazi group ‘Atomwaffen’, Cameron Shea pleads guilty to hate crime and conspiracy charges for threatening journalists and urges
Seattle (STL. News) Cameron Shea, 25, a pioneer of the neo-Nazi group Atomwaffen Division, pled guilty earlier today from the United States District Court for its Western District of Washington to national conspiracy and hate crime fees for threatening journalists and advocates that functioned to introduce anti-Semitism, declared Acting U.S. Attorney Tessa M. Gorman.
Shea pled guilty to one count of conspiring to perpetrate three crimes against the United States: disturbance with federally-protected activities due to faith, in breach of Title 18, United States Code, Section 245; mailing threatening communications, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 876; and cyberstalking, in breach of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2261A. He also used guilty to one count of interfering with a federally protected action due to faith, in breach of Title 18, United States Code, Section 245.
Shea and also three co-defendants were charged with conspiring through an encrypted online discussion team to recognize journalists and urges they desired to sabotage in retaliation for the sufferers’ work exposing anti-Semitism. The group focused mostly on individuals people who are Jewish or journalists of colour.
