Houston person, Brodrick Keith Rhodes pleads guilty to smuggling 119 aliens from the trailers
LAREDO, TS (STL. News) A 32-year-old person has entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to transfer illegal aliens, declared Acting U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery.
On Jan. 12, Brodrick Keith Rhodes arrived in the Freer Border Patrol checkpoint forcing a semi-truck and refrigerated trailer. He maintained he had been hauling lettucebut police noticed disagreements with his bill of lading. They also noted that he seemed nervous and the trailer was place to 30 levels but with an inner temperature of 68.
At secondary review, law enforcement finally found 119 aliens from the trailer cargo area.
Rhodes maintained he worked for a company in La Porte, however, the bill of lading indicated he was hauling lettuce out of a Laredo create firm to a place in Sugar Land. The business suggested Rhodes hadn’t been employed together nor do they transport outside the Houston area. The other two companies confirmed they had no record of their dispatch.
The aliens told police they were shot to a truck and advised to get from the trailer. It shortly shattered and didn’t cease till it reached the checkpoint.
